Carnar-Fin Fishing Competition 2026
Get ready to cast a line and be part of one of Carnarvon’s most iconic events, the Carnar-Fin Fishing Event.
Held annually in Carnarvon, Western Australia, Carnar-Fin is a week-long celebration of fishing, community and coastal adventure that has been bringing anglers together since 1992. The competition attracts recreational fishers from across the state who come to test their skills, enjoy the camaraderie and compete for a share of the impressive prize pool.
Running from 25–31 May 2026, the event offers a full week of fishing action with competitors able to fish from boats, beaches, jetties or rocks within a 50-nautical-mile radius of Carnarvon. Daily weigh-ins take place at the Carnarvon Yacht Club, where participants gather each evening to see the day’s biggest catches and share stories from the water.
